Early in the game, UNC-Greensboro had their best shot at a goal when they were able to shoot three times within 15 seconds, but they weren’t able to get any to hit the back of the net.

In the second half, the Deacons came out and added to their 1-0 lead with a goal from junior Kaley Fountain.
Senior Jill Hutchinson got the assist from her corner kick, which connected with Fountain and went in the goal.
For the Deacon’s third goal, Fountain connected with sophomore Bianca D’Agostino this time, bringing Wake to the final 3-0 score.
Fountain crossed the ball to D’Agostino, who shot from 12 yards out to score.
The Deacons finished non-conference play with the win over UNC-Greensboro and a record of 7-1-0.
Wake will look to their upcoming conference games, beginning Sept. 25 when the team hosts Maryland at 7 p.m.
