Watch the Deacons take on the Bears
By Allison Lange | Sports editor
If you’re not lucky enough to be able to make the trip to Waco, Texas, for the first Wake Forest football game of the year, don’t worry. Head over to the free Game Night at BB&T Field and take the opportunity to check out the new and improved BB&T Field and watch the Deacons take on the Baylor Bears on big screens in the stadium.
Before the 8 p.m. kickoff time, a tailgate competition will begin at 3 p.m.
Fans will compete and try to have the best tailgate experience, which will be judged by celebrity judges. Winners will be recognized at halftime of the Ole Miss game on Sept. 6. To register your tailgate, call ext. 5011.
Live music will take place on the field before kickoff at 6 p.m., along with games for children.
If you need another incentive to come watch the game at BB&T Field, the brand new Deacon Tower is open to the public the night of the game. Food will be available for purchase on the club level of the Tower.
The broadcast will be shown on the big-screens on the West Platforms, as well as on all of the TVs in the Deacon Tower.
Seats are general admission in the stadium and are on a first come, first serve basis.
