Hill's a comin'!
Head for the Hills!
That’s right ladies and gentlemen, one of the male candidates for President will be visiting Wake Forest on Friday. Though the campaign has not officially announced it, College Democrats and the Administration have announced that Hillary Clinton will be speaking in Wait Chapel on Friday at 5:30. Luckily for PREPARE, Bill Clinton will not be at any of the fraternity parties on Friday night.
The topic of her speech is as yet unknown, but based on the North Carolina electorate, I can guarantee it will be very populist. She’ll portray herself, ironically, as the working man’s candidate in contrast to Barack Obama’s elitism. While we’re on that topic, I found an excellent article today from my favorite political columnist, George Will.
With Hillary stopping by, this will be the first stop for Wake Forest in the 2008 Election Circus. Let’s hope that we are blessed enough to have the circus come by a few more times before May 6 and before the November general election.

The students at Fort Hays State University, Hays, KS invite you to consider the implications of a President whose first response is to use nuclear warheads, and also calls someone who believes in using Diplomacy to prevent crisis "Naive." If you want someone who tells it like it is without pandering to your particualr bias, who doesn't shamelessly embellish for effct, whose success means you too can be successful, vote Obama. We are counting on you. We used facebook to organize and caucused 73% for Obama. You have the added advantage of being able to register and vote all at once. Go for it. Yes we can.Posted by: Jean Binder on April 27, 2008 1:52 am
Just thought I'd respond to whoever decided to write the above post. I didn't realize how popular this blog had become, so take note of my shock that a Kansan tracked down this particular blog. However, I really enjoy the line above about pandering and embellishment, because that is what I see a lot from Obama's campaign. He is pandering to the farest corners of the left with his policies, and to the entire electorate with his oratory, which, the last time I checked, is full effective embellishment. Nice try though.Posted by: Seth Williford on April 27, 2008 1:15 pm
