Enter your art in student gallery show
Staff reporter
The Hanes Art Gallery will be accepting submissions for the 2006 Student Art Exhibition March 30 — April 5.
All university students are welcome to submit up to four pieces.
Pieces of all mediums are welcome. Paintings must be dry and ready to hang. Works on paper, including photography, must be matted or mounted on clean matboard with straight edges. The border must be no less than one inch and no more than three inches. Large sculptures or installations may be left in the studio for judging. However, entry information, a description and the location of the work must be provided on an offsite entry list available in Hanes Art Gallery.
Each submitted piece must have an identification label. This label should include the artist’s name, e-mail address, phone number, title, date, media, and a designation as to whether or not the piece is for sale. If for sale, a price should be included.
All submissions must be in by 10 a.m. April 5. Submissions will be accepted during all gallery hours.
The Student Art Exhibition will open April 20 and will run until May 15. Cash prizes will be awarded at the opening reception on April 20.
