Baja Fresh a pricey pleasure

There are a whopping 189 undergraduates who hail from Texas at this university, fueling a need for the Winston-Salem area to host a bevy of spicy and authentic Mexican eateries. There are four Taco Bells within five miles of campus!

Seriously, though, students love to eat Mexican food. Have you tried the quesadillas at the Pit? As sick as they are, they still sell like mad. Therefore, it was no surprise that Baja Fresh, a new Mexican fast food restaurant, moved in on 2005 Frontis Plaza Boulevard, right off of Hanes Mall Boulevard next to the new Starbucks and the Outback Steakhouse, to try to corner the taco and burritos-as-big-as-a-baby market.

I’m not going to lie: I’ve eaten quite a few times at Baja Fresh in my life. But that was back in Columbus, Ohio — so I figured maybe the North Carolina version would be a little different.
