The battle of who could care less
It’s great to see our neighbors to the east fighting over whose fans have less class, especially in the wake of our 38-18 drubbing of NC State Saturday.
Behold, the NC State Technician v. the Daily Tar Heel. From the Wolfpack:
Win or lose the game tomorrow, these (UNC) fans will remain smug for at least the next few days. If they win, it’ll be the topic of conversation until we play them in basketball.
And from Chapel Hill:
I will deny into the ground that I was stereotypically born with a silver spoon in my mouth. But I would rather be thought of as a stuck-up Carolina girl than a classless State fan any day of the week—and that includes game day.
Neither one is as bad as Duke, but I found that both editorials are spot on about the other team’s fans. In my experience, I’ve also found that State fans are more direct and vulgar with their hate, while Heel fans tend to be condescending and arrogant.
Fortunately, we don’t have to worry about either of them gloating for a while.
