On a sad note, it is being reported that beloved football coach Jim Grobe, is likely to be leaving his Wake Forest home.  He has been courted by the Arkansas Razorbacks to coach at their university next year.  Although it will not be a done deal until tomorrow, I do not have much hope.  With the success of the Wake Forest team in the past two years, it was inevitable that a bigger team could swoop in and woo our coach with a higher salary.  Receiving $2.2 million at Arkansas opposed to $1.1 million at Wake is a huge difference, most economically-minded people can see that.  I just hope that leaving Wake isn’t an easy thing for Grobe- he brought us to our best season in memory and has re-vamped the football program at Wake Forest.  While he may be gaining money, he will be losing a community that admires and reveres him.  Whatever the final decision may be, I wish you luck, Coach Grobe.  If you choose to leave, you will be missed and it will be hard to fill your shoes.
