Wario to blame?

Wii do not care about the environment

The extremist hippie tree-huggers/environmental crusaders (depending on your political affiliation) over at Greenpeace recently released their “Guide to Greener Electronics,“ a report on which electronics companies are eliminating harmful chemicals and recycling their products to reduce “e-waste.“ imageOr, in the case of Nintendo, not.

On a scale of 1 to 10, Nintendo scored a 0.

According to the Christian Science Monitor:

Nintendo became the first manufacturer to receive zero out of 10 points. Greenpeace says that the Japanese video-game company – which has not yet issued a statement responding to the report – provides no information on the materials used in manufacturing its consoles nor on its plans to cut hazardous chemicals. Thus it “completely fails to show any environmental credentials.“

So, remember, next time you and your friends are playing that old copy of Super Smash Bros. or Mario Kart on your Nintendo 64, you are actually destroying our fragile ecosystem. Jerks.
