Sen. Hillary Clinton's appearance on campus has been scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday April 18 in Wait Chapel. Reynolds professor of American Studies Maya Angelou is now also slated to appear with the former First Lady.

[UPDATE 4:47 p.m.] All the tickets to the event given to College Democrats for undergraduates have now been claimed. They are no longer accepting requests by e-mail. “We did fill our allocation within an hour and a half,” said Zahir Rahman, sophomore president of College Democrats.

If you did not get a ticket through this method, you still have the opportunity to attend. A large portion of the Chapel will be open to the public. We expect seats will be available to those who arrive early to wait, as was the case with Clinton’s prior appearance in Winston-Salem at Forsyth Tech. Doors to Wait Chapel will open at 4 p.m.

“Students are still free to attend, the only kicker is that they will not be guaranteed admission and must wait in line with general admission,” Rahman said.
